Back to Life: A Miraculous Christian Testimony

SPEAKER A 00:00:01 - 00:02:31 It's all too often said that there are no miracles performed these days. Well, I'd like to challenge that, this idea, with my story of a baby who came back to life. Welcome to Miracles in the 21st Century. I'm Elizabeth Serra. When I was a child, Mum used to tell me bedtime stories, and one of my favorite bedtime stories was of when she was in New Guinea, and this family had brought a sick to the hospital where she worked. She asked them through the interpreter, can I pray for your baby? And they said, we don't believe in your God, so please don't pray for our baby. The baby's health continued to deteriorate. And again, mum said, could I please pray for your baby? Your baby's getting sicker. And again, through the interpreter, they said, no, we don't want you to pray for our baby. Mum was listening to the heart through the stethoscope, and the heart stopped beating, and Mum had to tell the parents through the interpreter that their baby had died. Then the parents said to Mum through the interpreter, please, can you pray for our baby? And she explained to them that their baby had died, but she would pray for the baby per chance that God would work a miracle in that baby's life. She said that she had the stethoscope in her ears And that was on the baby's chest. And as she prayed and was listening for the heart, the heart started beating while she was praying. It was a miracle that it happened. And the parents were overjoyed. And they said to my mum, Here, this, you take this child. And she said, I can't raise this child. God has given life to this child. He wants you to care for this baby. Raise this child to know that God worked a miracle in its life. I love that story, the power of God.
