It is all too often said that there is no miracles performed these days. Well, I'd like to challenge this idea with my story of the car breakdown. Welcome to Miracles in the 21st Century. I'm Conrad Jurello. Well, only a couple of weeks ago, I had to do a major operation on my car. I changed the clutch. And a little Toyota Starlet, and I was traveling south and I had a fuse that went on it, the main fuse, but I thought, no, it'll be right. I kept driving and driving from Townworth right down to Scone. That's about 2 hours' run. Anyway, when it got dark, I noticed the lights were getting dimmer and dimmer and dimmer And I thought, uh-oh, I might be in trouble here. So I went around in— I pulled into Scone. As I was pulling in, I stopped just up this little hill and the car conked out. And it rolled down backwards around the corner and I stopped and I said, Lord, What am I to do now? It's a Friday evening and I should have been in bed by then. But then I looked and a car pulled up behind me. And a man in high-visibility clothing came out and he looked at me and says, "Hey, my friend, you look as though you could do with a bit of a hand." I said, "I certainly would." and his name was Brian, and he turned out to be the local mechanic. And not only local mechanic, he was also an auto electrician. And he lifted up the bonnet, we looked in the fuse box, and within 20 seconds he pinpointed the faulty fuse. And he said, well, give me 20 minutes, I'm just going to duck on home and then out to the workshop and I'll be back. So I was thanking the Lord so much, singing a song, and he turned up again with the fuse. And he says, "You're very lucky today. This is the only fuse I have in the captivity of all the big workshop." So he installed it in and we started the car and everything worked. And I asked him, "How much would you charge for this operation?" He says, "Nothing. I often help people who are hard done by on the side of the road." And I offered him a bag of organic green apples that we had from the farm up in Moombi. He gladly took them and he says, "I love those sorts of apples." And it was great. It was really, really good. But the only challenge is he told me to keep the motor running, and I thought, well, I was making myself a hot drink and I kept the motor running, but I didn't check the radiator, did I? So as I drove out of Scone down the highway, I was shocked to see the temperature just skyrocket right up, and then I pulled over on the side of the road, and there, you wouldn't believe it, John and Rosemary Malkovich were coming back from a seminar in Musselbrook, and he saw me and he did a U-turn. He come back and he had some water. We were able to put some more water in it, but unfortunately it's, um, Wasn't too healthy. The temperature started to rise again, so I decided to sleep in the car. But then John and Rosemary picked me up for Musselbrook Church in the morning, and I had a beautiful Sabbath. Came back to John's place and had a beautiful fellowship lunch with the others there. And praise the Lord, I was able to get the car home safely. Without being stranded on the side of the highway. But that's, that's something there that I'll remember. So it's amazing how God provides a person to be able to help in time of need. It was a beautiful answer to prayer. Thanks for listening.
