What if the police investigating your car accident couldn't explain how your car was even there? In this **modern day miracle** and true **Christian faith story**, Rosanna Laredo recounts the night a routine drive from Melbourne to Mildura turned into a multi-vehicle pileup — and how she walked away completely unharmed while every other car involved was destroyed.

Traveling behind two other vehicles, Rosanna watched a car towing a trailer of market fruit lose control after overtaking a motorcyclist, sending grapes and shattered glass across her windscreen as vehicles collided around her. She came to a stop in the middle of the wreckage, helped injured strangers, and watched emergency crews arrive to a scene she compares to something out of a movie. But when she gave her official statement days later, police revealed a mystery: the motorcyclist who witnessed the whole crash could describe every vehicle involved in detail — except hers. Officers told Rosanna plainly that they could not explain how her car passed through the pileup with only a few small dents to show for it.

In this episode, you will hear:
- How a split-second cry for help preceded a multi-car highway pileup
- Why the investigating officer told Rosanna, "there must be someone looking after you"
- The eyewitness account that couldn't place her car at the scene at all
- How her car escaped with only minor damage while every other vehicle was written off

Speaker A 00:00:01 - 00:06:10 It is all too often said that there are no miracles performed these days. Well, I'd like to challenge this idea with my story of the invisible car. Welcome to Miracles in the 21st Century. I'm Rosanna Laredo. Some years ago, I was traveling into Mildura from Melbourne. I was going to visit some friends, and I was traveling behind 2 other cars. One, there was one car, red car in front of me, and another white van in front of, in front of them. And we were all driving at about 100 k's an hour. And another car came the other way, and it had a trailer full of fruit from the market. And all I really remember is seeing this car swerve quickly, and then I had grapes covering my whole windscreen. And I I couldn't see anything else. I heard banging, crashing around me, and I just put my brakes on, and all I had time to say was, Lord, help me. And I came to a stop in the middle of the road, and I got out of my car, and I just saw wreckage all around me, and it was very confronting. And I approached each car. One car had— well, the white van I saw was on its side. Oh, my goodness. Its bonnet was missing, the broken windscreen. And I think I was in shock and I didn't know what to say or what to do, but I tried to look for the man inside and I couldn't see him. And I then went to the other car and there were 2 guys in that car, the red car, and they both had blood on their faces. And I said, are you okay? What can I do for you? And they said, we need water. So I ran back to my car and I tried to get water, but I couldn't because my water had spilled in my car. And I went outside again, and by that time more cars had started stopping. And the car with the trailer of fruit, it was all a mess. The trailer had disconnected from the car. The man inside was yelling about his leg. I think he ended up having a broken leg. And the woman had left the car and was running around screaming and in shock as well. And eventually emergency vehicles arrived. So I was thinking, oh, I'll call 000, but I noticed another man. I don't know where he came from, but he was on the phone to 000. And when the police arrived, they got out of the car and I saw the man look around like I had in absolute shock, where to start. And there was grapes and glass and bits of car everywhere on the road, and it just looked like something you'd see in a terrible movie. And the policeman then saw me and said, is this your car? I was driving a white Mitsubishi '97 Magna, and that had ended up in front of all of the wreckage. And he said, is this your car? I said, yes. He said, are you able to come in and give a statement in a few days to the police? And I said, yeah, that's fine. And then I looked at my car, and all the other cars had been written off, absolutely so much damage and injuries, everyone injured. And I looked at my car and the only thing wrong with it was just a few little dents at the front of the car. The case of one light was broken, but the light bulb was still intact. And there was— there were 2 little red paint strips on the other side of my car where I assumed the red car had just slid past me. Well, I went to the police station a few days later to give a report. In the meantime, the accident had gone onto the front page of the local paper. The road had been blocked for a few hours, the paper read, and there were pictures of the wreckage. And the police said to me, tell us what you saw. And unfortunately, all I could say was, well, I saw the car with the trailer swerve, and then there were just grapes all over my windscreen. I didn't see anything apart from that. And they said to me, well— and they showed me different sketches of what they how they could have anticipated all the cars hitting each other and what had happened. And they said to me, it's very interesting. You know, we can't figure out what really happened. The best witness we had was a man on his motorbike. So what had caused the accident was the car with the trailer had overtaken the man on the motorbike and then lost control. He'd tried to pull back into the lane too fast, lost control, started fishtailing, and that's what caused the accident. So the man on the motorbike pulled back. saw what was going on and he saw each of the vehicles. However, the police said, what he couldn't tell us was where your car was. He listed the red car, the van, the car with the trailer, all the vehicles, but not your car. And we said to him, where was the white Mitsubishi Magna that came through the wreckage somehow? And he said, there was no Magna. I didn't see any Magna. And that, it really hit me and I thought, what happened? Did the angels pick up my car and put it on the other side of the accident? And I thought, why was I the only one to not be hurt? The police said to me, we don't understand how your car got through that. We can't explain that. We have no answers. All we can say is there must be someone looking after you. Yeah. And I thought, yeah, that's absolutely right. I have, and to this day, I have no explanation of how I came through that accident unscathed. And the policeman said even the red car even flipped over, it rolled all the way over and landed on its wheels again. And yeah, no one, no one can explain to this day how, how my car got through that and how I came through without being hurt. So I just have to praise God and thank him for his protection and for his angels. And yeah, I am just so grateful for him. Thank you for listening. Thank you.
